We are Design Company to create Korean luxurious products. Hyphenproject. We strive to offer product reflective of Korean traditional wisdom that becomes valuable within people’s day-to-day life.
Products to be introduced are handcrafted cups. These are beautifully made of 100% eco friendly materials; wood, natural lacquer, natural mineral pigments and soil.
Natural lacquer is known as the essence of Asian craftsmanship and we strongly believe that natural lacquer could add artistry and luxuriousness to lifestyle goods. It is not only a work of art; it also has proven benefits in health and environmental responsibilities. Natural lacquer has been regarded precious paint traditionally, because it has firm permanent durability and strong antibacterial activity.
With the Hyphenproject’s innovative technology that combines with the original characteristics of natural lacquer, it is sturdy enough to maintain its elegant shape and colors for thousand years.

Designing the classified cultural tradition of Korea
Hyphenproject studies Korean tradition and tries to define it’s design.
It discovers wisdom in age old Korean life which can be of benefit for modern use. Our products are reflections of these efforts.
Craftsmanship
Use natural lacquer that has been used for thousands of years, wood, soil and gold. All the products are handcrafted from the start to the finish. We define the class as a process of binding skills, surface treatment and coloring. The class and usefulness is palpable and visible.
Timelessness
Use materials that lasted very long in Korean tradition. We hope as much time would be added to these products by those who use it and enjoy it. These are not to be forgotten after several times of use, they are to be enjoyed for generations and to be talked to others for its proven values.

수공의 가치
모든 제품은 처음부터 끝까지 숙련된 디자이너의 손을 거쳐 만들어집니다.
옻칠, 나무, 흙, 금 등 청정재료와 한국의 전통재료만을 고집합니다. 새로운 전통공예의 가치를 만들어내기 위해 전통소재의 새로운 표현방법, 활용방법을 모색합니다.
시간성
오랫동안 전해져 온 소재들을 담아 제품을 만들어냅니다.
그만큼의 시간이 사용되면서도 보태지기를 바랍니다. 잠시 사용되고 잊혀지는 것이 아닌 오래 두고 보아도 좋은 물건, 다시 다른 사람에게도 전하고 싶은 가치를 담은 제품을 만들고자 합니다.

술 한잔, 그에 알맞는 가벼운 찬품을 담아냅니다. 기분 좋은 날을 위한 달달한 한 잔,나를 달래고 싶을 때 찾게되는 담백한 한 잔을 위해 제안하는 술잔.
슈혼(구두주걱) : 옻나무가 상처를 입으면 나무가 만들어내는 수액인 옻칠은 스스로를 치유하기 위한 항균력을 가지고 있는 건강한 소재입니다.
늘 손과 신발에 자주 닿는 슈혼을 깨끗하게 유지시켜 줄 수 있는 옻칠로 마감했습니다. 가지고 다니기에 좋은 크기, 손에 잘 잡히는 곡면 형태, 깨끗하고 건강한 자연소재 옻칠입니다. 당신의 소중한 구두를 신고 벗는 짧은 순간 일지라도 나를 기억할 수 있기를 바랍니다.
연필꽂이,명함꽂이 세트 : 흑단나무의 적당한 무게감, 부드럽지만 힘이 느껴지는 나뭇결, 그 위에 옻칠과 황토가 만들어내는 독특한 텍스쳐. 실제로 만져보아야만이 느껴지는 따뜻한 감촉의 옻칠. 책상 위에 나만의 데스크용품으로, 나를 기억해주었으면 하는 분에게 소중한 선물로 좋은 제품입니다.
