With everyday practical uses in mind, &Baum designs and creates stylish, handmade lacquer ware products. &Baum
Combining the strength of traditional crafts with &Baum's design instincts, useful and valuable products have been created to be used practically in our day to day lives. Although the traditional lacquer ware industry is in a state of ‘tradition’, &Baum's motto and creative approach - design + traditional techniques + productivity + practical uses - has struck a unique balance to push the wavering boundaries of the traditional craft industry into a new frontier.
This leap can be made together, simply by using lacquer ware. We can further extend the boundaries by spreading the word about the many attractive qualities of lacquer ware.
&Baum's brand name combines the "&" symbol with "Baum", the German word for wood. The philosophy and meaning behind the brand name, &Baum or "and wood", is to find a natural coexistence and inclusion for wood in our daily lives.

Lacquer ware candle: Since each component of the candle (soy candle, stainless steel cup, and the wood lacquered firsthand) can be separated and disassembled, you can indefinitely recreate a use or purpose for each part as you need it or the way you see fit. The bottom half of the container has been exquisitely decorated in one of two available colors while preserving the natural fibers of the wood to retain its attractiveness.
<Note: candle>
1. Before you light the candle, please trim the wick to under 5 millimeters or about 0.2 inches.
2. If the candle starts to burn soot or too intensely, please extinguish the fire and retrim the wick.
3. When you use the candle for the first time, please use it until the original surface of the entire candle, including the edges, has melted.
4. Use wax to put out the wick on the candle. (This is to prevent soot and smoke.)
5. One to two hours at a time are highly recommended for optimal use. (Do not use longer than 3 hours at a time.)
6. Do not use the candle in rooms without ventilation or during sleep.
7. Do not use near combustible or flammable material.
8. Please keep it out of the reach of children or pets.
9. After the candle is used up, the container itself can be reused in a number of practical ways. (Korean Certification Number: 8072A310-5001)
Lacquer ware bowl set : These bowls, made from the wood of an ash tree, have been lacquered elegantly. With the natural fibers of the wood in tact, the bowls range in various sizes and can be used for rice, soup, or side dishes. Furthermore, because they are anti-bacterial and resistant to moisture, these lacquer ware bowls serve a unique functionality in our lives. Finally, since wood is not highly conducive to heat, this product can help maintain the temperature of the food for long periods of time.
Lacquer ware plate set: Each lacquer ware set contains five plates in different sizes. The smallest plate size serves well for edibles, such as sauces or nuts. The largest plate size can be utilized for main dishes or large portions. Consistent with &Baum's product line and design concept, the wood of each plate set is lacquered in fine detail, which outfits the products with their anti-bacterial and moisture resistant qualities. From its conception to its design, each product is well-balanced and uniform in weight, feel, and other tangible attributes.
Lacquer soban : Korean traditional mini table which is called 'Soban'. This Soban is made ginkgo tree, light and strong. And finished with 'Otchil', korean traditional natural lacqure. It has same ratio with traditional furniture, but small size for easy use on your home. This mini table can be used tea table for 1 person or dessert table. Upper side is finished with natural linen.
<Note: dishes>
1. Please use a neutral dish detergent with a soft dishrag to clean the products.
2. Over time, the lacquer will become more transparent and make the color more vivid from the original.
3. Please do not store in humid areas. If it is left in a humid area for a long time, the shape of the product can deform or change from its intended form.
4. Since each product is 100% handmade, it is possible for slight or subtle variations in detail from one another.
5. Do not use the product in microwaves, ovens, or dishwashers.

옻칠컵캔들 : 소이 캔들(플라워향)이 담긴 스테인리스 컵과 물푸레나무에 정성스럽게 옻칠한 컨테이너는 분리되는 형태로, 캔들을 다 사용한 후에는 펜꽂이, 수저 보관통 등 필요한 용도에 따라 반영구적으로 사용하실 수 있습니다.
테두리는 옻칠과 천연안료를 섞은 두 가지 컬러로 포인트를 주었고 물푸레나무의 나뭇결을 그대로 살린 점이 매력적인 제품입니다.
옻칠 컬러 밥, 국그릇 : 물푸레나무에 정성스럽게 옻칠을 여러 번 한 제품입니다. 밥그릇과 국그릇으로 활용이 가능하며 작은 크기의 보울로도 다양한 활용이 가능합니다. 옻칠이 가진 항균력과 방습성으로 기능성이 뛰어나며 열전도성이 떨어지는 나무의 기본 특성은 음식의 온도를 오랫동안 보존시켜 줍니다. 물푸레나무의 나뭇결이 그대로 드러나는 매력이 있습니다.
옻칠 컬러 4종 접시SET : 4개로 세트가 구성된 옻칠플레이트세트입니다.
총 4가지 사이즈와 2가지의 컬러가 있고 다양한 조합이 가능합니다. 가장 작은 사이즈는 견과류나 소스류를 담아도 되고, 가장 큰 사이즈는 메인 디쉬용으로 활용해도 됩니다. 다른 제품들과 마찬가지로 여러 번 옻칠이 된 제품으로 항균성과 방습성이 뛰어나고, 적당한 무게감의 물푸레나무가 안정감을 줍니다.
옻칠소반 : 전통 소반을 축소 제작하여 활용도를 높인 제품입니다. 은행나무 원목을 전통 가구와 똑같이 짜맞춤으로 제작하였으며, 상판은 삼베, 천연안료 등 사용하여 옻칠하였습니다. 1인용 다과상 및 찻상으로 활용 가능하며, 인테리어 용도로도 활용성이 뛰어납니다. 가벼우면서도 내구성이 높은 제품입니다.
